GA has been an interesting company to work at. Does anyone know is GA the exception in the defense industry or the rule? I have been interviewing at NG and Raytheon and just want to know should I except the same in terms of work ethic and accountability at other defense companies as I saw at GA? I am hoping to see change as I felt the standards at GA are so low and non-existent in some cases and hoping it will be limited to GA… or is this something that is industry wide?

I've worked at both NG and Raytheon and hands down Raytheon is better. From my experience, It has a much better work environment and better benefits. Your mileage may vary.
Expect greater accountability for delivering working products at other defense companies since they are actually trying to sell things to make money.
At GA, every product is just demonstration-level quality, barely a minimum-viable-product, followed by long periods of bug-fixing without re-evaluating design. Their business plan seems to be to hook unwary customers with a shiny new thing, then charge them a small fortune in maintenance fees, but then discard the customer when they complain too much claiming that they need to upgrade to the latest version, which probably also suffers from the same poor quality. This is why they USAF is dumping their MQ-9 fleet and foreign customers are leasing Company-Owned/Company-Operated MQ-9 while pursuing their own endeavors.
GA is not know as an innovative place to work nor or it’s engineering or business people considered top tier. You will be asked to work harder at the Big 4 defense contractors and it may comes as a shock considering how small the workload is at GA. But if you prepare yourself well and work hard you can make it as long as GA isn’t the only job you have ever had…. Then you may have just picked up too many bad habits
Every place you work at has bad department… but I will say GA is a very special place that exceeds all standards when it comes to accountability and low performing workers. GA does not evaluate on performance and that is limited to GA as far as the defense industry is concerned.
