Once upon a time, "make your supervisor look good" meant to be an outstanding employee. Unfortunately, it doesn't seem to mean that anymore?

My Supervisor so ignorant that I cannot make her look good. She cannot even ask a decent question.
It seems that Supervisors that actually know the work are a rarity nowadays.
Achieving a preferred demographic target is more important than placing knowledgeable persons into supervisor positions.
Sometimes it’s impossible to make your boss look good! Then you’re hosed.
That's the kind of world that happens when you're sitting on consistent fat profits. When that's done it's about the money, and results matter more than effort. That's always the case, but this is where it gets real. It happened to every other industry in the 70s, oil is still catching up because there's still a lot of loose cash floating around.
