Bed Bath & Beyond has ‘substantial doubt’ it can stay in business

https://www.cnn.com/2023/01/05/business/bed-bath-and-beyond-future/index.html

"The retailer said that there is “substantial doubt about the company’s ability to continue” because of its deepening financial turmoil. In a regulatory filing Thursday, the company said it had slower than expected third-quarter sales because of “lower customer traffic and reduced levels of inventory availability.”

Do yourselves a favor.. Look at the current Board of Directors. Look at their names and research them. Most of them have been down the Bankruptcy Road before. They are familiar with how to get every drop of blood money before the exit

The person or persons stating that Bed Bath stated all this themselves is correct, it is in their own press release. Their own press release states in their words none of these measures may work to stay in business, including bankruptcy. Gove may not of said this herself, but the company of BBB as a whole certainly did.

"The Company continues to consider all strategic alternatives including restructuring or refinancing its debt, seeking additional debt or equity capital, reducing or delaying the Company's business activities and strategic initiatives, or selling assets, other strategic transactions and/or other measures, including obtaining relief under the U.S. Bankruptcy Code. These measures may not be successful."

This says otherwise.

“The company has concluded that there is substantial doubt about the company’s ability to continue as a going concern,” Bed Bath & Beyond said in a statement.

It literally says "Bed Bath & Beyond said in a statement.".

Please show the rest of us where this is from sources outside the company. I mean we all know everyone thinks this at this point though. You sound foolish.

Again, you can’t comprehend what you’re reading. Sue said that she admits there are people (outside the company) that have substantial doubt that the company will not make it.

@wob+1kxEIRkp wow, are you really clinging on to hope that desperately? Reading comprehension? What part about "The retailer said that there is “substantial doubt about the company’s ability to continue” because of its deepening financial turmoil. BBB literally stated this themselves, not a source outside the company.

What about this?

"Bed Bath & Beyond Warns of Potential Bankruptcy
The home goods retailer said weak sales and slower foot traffic had forced it to consider options for restructuring, including bankruptcy."

Is this from people outside the company impersonating people from within the company?

Reading comprehension is hard. The doubt is from people outside the company, not internally. Nothing new here.

Is it a relief to hear them finally admit they can't keep this company afloat?
