If a person is a top performer, it does not mean that that person needs additional overload until he or she also decides to resign. I don't know how managers don't realize that giving more work to employees who did a great job on previous tasks and turning a blind eye on those who who constantly slack off, comes with significant risk. Until when will EM continue to punish top performers?

Go to work for a tech company so you can get laid off. Tech companies are young and have few older folks to retire so lot's of mid -career and young folks must get cut quickly.
Top performer here. OP, do you work here? I don't think so. If you were you'd know that almost all top performers or even good performers are gone by now. They didn't accept being treated like trash. The few of us left still here are completely unmotivated and don't care anymore. So, we just show up to pretend we're working so we can k-ching a huge paycheck. That's it.
Yeaah, right. OPD three years in a row here. Exxon is punishing me with a lot of money and promotions. 😂😂😂
MBA: "It's just business... as NOBODY can Top me..."
At CSR in Annandale, this is not a problem.
The real top performers or even performers do not exist.
All we got here is the lying face, insignificant, inferior researchers and dirty management.
EM became a place where caring about quality, quantity, your colleagues is just counterproductive.
What matters is to care only about yourself and about your supervisor.
Do less, do sloppy, don't give a fk about your colleagues, and make your supervisor look good.
That works.
