Thread regarding ExxonMobil Corp. layoffs

Is LCS a New Misinformation Perpetrated on TaxPayers and the Environment?

Look at the people who are joining Low Carbon Solutions (LCS).

You will notice a pattern of employees who lack technical intellect, ability to be productive, and are total duds (for anyone who has worked with them would know) but all have one theme in common - these are delusional brown noser LinkedIn and Yammer frauds.

What are the chances that LCS with its incompetent team will be a complete failure? The top management to bottom jokers will do no meaningful work, yet, they will continue to make noise on LinkedIn.

Blind leading the blind. The only consistent part is that brainless fakers with fake smiles are excited.

The fallacy of “all business can only be staffed by executives, managers, and planners but not engineers.”

LCS is a joke. Why do the business people perpetuate this BS that good engineers can’t be also be good business people? Is it because these manager are failed engineers that can’t compete with exceptional engineers with business acumen?

Many of the so called “business” people at EM are not coherent in whatever they are supposed to sell and don’t know what’s good from a dud. The planners are nothing more than highly paid PowerPoint jockeys waiting for the next gig.

@1utj+1kwYCfYI well said. XOM has no capability or talent left to develop anything. But looking at how the real talent has left the company, and the poor quality of remaining employees, they will lose any ability to integrate anything meaningful very quickly. All that will remain is P-e-sanna type talentless people making glittery but Hollow presentations.

XOM is still very good at identifying dirt-bags and pooling them together. This time it may be LCS.

OP, you are missing the point of LCS. Prasanna said it very clearly in his presentations. The purpose of LCS is not to develop technology in any way. The purpose of LCS is to buy already available technology from other companies, deploy it, and of course claim the success as ours. That's it. Simple. That's why they only have executives, managers, and
planners but not engineers. This is a business unit, not an engineering one.

Can you show me who is technical in our company? I have not come across anyone capable of building new tech to create a new industry. If the people in LCS aren’t good enough it’s because our engineers are just a procurement department

I don’t think LCS people lack intellect, but I do think many of them are missing key qualifications to do the jobs. There were simply better people with more qualifications within the company. (At least that was before the mass exodus.) The makeup of LCS makes me believe the appointments are more political than anything else. When a company fails to promote based on merit or skills, then there’s a huge problem. Too often talented people are used to prop up individuals who do little. Even past behaviors doesn’t support their appointments to LCS. It’s also hard to believe the sudden enthusiasm for sustainability as the pre-requisite.

LCS is a virtuous signaling farce to appease the ESG conscious investors.
