Given that the top management does not care about this company, but only how much money they make for themselves, Belk is doing surprisingly well. I'm surprised that everything isn't much worse.

You must be in a nicer store because things are really bad in our store. It is like a clearance center. The store manager practices so much favortism and racism and the hr person only has empathy when somethings happening to her. But worst of all there is no notice of any senority or hard work, they cut your hours to nothing without a thought to how you are going to pay your bills. And when they are done with you they make everything as hard as it can be to run you out. They use attrition to get rid of their people instead of doing the decent thing and letting a couple people get a layoff they string you along with 10 or 15 hours. And the lies the management tell. All in the pursuit of their bonuses. And how about them scheduling one person to a register no matter how busy it is and by the way in your spare time can you put away all the freight and go backs that the shift before you left behind while never leaving your register. Belk is a joke.
