Thread regarding Fidelity National Information Services Inc. layoffs

Still can't wrap my head around the last layoffs round

What were they thinking? I look around at who's still here and who's gone and it's clear the best people are out and the worst people are still in. How did that happen? Either the decision makers only looked at spreadsheets or they're deliberately trying to make this company fail.

@gq I personally think they also utilize the planview skills scores.

I don't believe the best people are out and the worst are still in. I consider myself one of the best, and still around. I know people that are real bad performers and are still around, people that were good and were RFI'ed, people who were bad and were also RFI'ed (and should have long ago), so the pattern is not performance. I believe each employee is assigned a ranking number based on numerous factors: use of AI, client facing, generic knowledge vs specialized knowledge, onshore vs offshore, remote vs office, salary range, and then decisions (or maybe an algorithm) is from that list; as simple as that.

What can you wrap your head around, asking for a friend?

As a 'good' employee who is efficient, productive and spoken highly of by clients, I do not believe that the 'worst' are still here. This is insulting to those of us who are here trying to do the best with what is left. And some of the worst actually did get cut.

@c3 are you assuming that the executive bonus schedule pays out in March only? No one knows that. Perhaps there are quarterly bonuses at that level. Wouldn't be surprised. It always works out for them and never for employees.

@a4 Bonuses are in march for the most part, pay rise is start of July so yeah more like time to pump up those numbers..

Good or Bad is never factored into the equation. Once we separate that from the mental anguish we become at peace with our place. Put it simply it’s about the depth of the corporate pocket always has and always will. Look at the timing our C level and VP level need that bonus.
