Fidelity National Information Services Rank - WSJ - The 2026 Best Companies for the Future

The Wall Street Journal evaluates how leading US corps stack up in 6 areas: AI readiness, innovation, talent readiness, financial fitness, resilience and agility.

FIS ranks #319 overall with an Overall Score of 46.8, well below the Financial Services industry average of 53.4. Its best showing is Innovation Rank #69, which is a credible signal for a payments and financial infrastructure company. Talent is mid-pack at #210, and Financial Fitness is also middling at #236.

The real drag is durability and adaptability. FIS ranks #469 in Resilience and #394 in Agility, which puts it in the lower tail of the dataset on two strategically important dimensions. The data suggests FIS has product and infrastructure relevance, but its operating model does not screen as sufficiently resilient or fast-moving. In a financial technology market being reshaped by real-time payments, embedded finance, cloud migration, and AI-enabled fraud tools, that is a meaningful vulnerability.
