@ar I bear him no ill-will personally but he was a Devnet marketing guy who knew nothing about networks. How the fu-k he got to run the entire UK technical organisation, and fired great SEMs and SEs who constructively questioned him, is a mystery. He hoodwinked DM with flowery BS to get the job. He never fought the corner for the SE organisation like guys like IK and IF used to do and he wrecked the morale of everyone. And then he gets promoted to VP of EMEA! This, my friends is why Cisco is fu---d. Middle level management is stuffed full of yes people who do not care a fu-k about grass roots people, no matter their supposed "ask me anything" and "my door is always open" BS. Rest assured you minutely challenge the company vision and your days are numbered. This is why Cisco is fu---d - new opinions and methods should be constructively welcomed and not eliminated!
50% should go. Minimum. Cisco UK staffed full of useless hangers on with all manner of “deleopment managers” who do FA other than attatch themselves to SFDC deals and ask when the order is expected. Get back to basics and cut that fat out.
