The work-life balance here is terrible. Employees are expected to extend their work hours in order to appear competitive, which is unnecessary. The environment is quite negative and drains employee energy, making it hard to stay motivated to do anything. Overall, this is not a good place to work.

To “ I love this Company” you’re the ideal AIG employee. Stay put, you’re where you belong. If you do get laid off, I believe you’ll be a great fit at your local DMV
I love this Company, I'm a top performer since forever and I do the bare minimum from my point of view, my managers change every 2 years but still I had never issues with them (luck is also important). What I'm really scared of is having to find a real job while this is a never ending holiday for me
Agreed. Stay off the radar, do the bare minimum at work, but make sure to focus on yourself or anything else that you are interested in doing such as improving your health, a side hustle, learning something new, searching for a new job.
A Company with no moral value for it employees.
Level 2 Managers keep on changing every year.. 20 years experienced guys in the company are not work for the post??? Anytime you will be laid off, for no reason or may be one reason - worked for 20 years - take a break from this useless company.
Never ever ever recommend even to your hard core enemy. Hiring freshers who learned English yesterday and learning company 'process' through KT today to replace the laid off experienced guy. brainless management still not realized need 10 people to replace one guy and cost double .
Good luck finding a better place, then. Still a free country. Exercise your freedom to leave once you find a better job.
The key is doing as little work as possible while staying off the radar. Being quote and mediocre is gold at this company.
Getting laid off from AIG is inevitable unless you are executive inner circle. There is no motivation to appear too even appear to work late. I haven’t done it and no one cares. If they do, they can escalate the matter to someone who does..
Having to do back to the office sucks. Gotta take my lunch hour. So no meetings between 12 and 2pm, since my calendar is already blocked out.
Completely agree. It doesn't cost anything to just avoid being unkind. (Let alone being kind which is probably too much to ask). But people at AIG need to take out their anger at having to work there on someone, and who better than the rank and file?
Yes, agreed. I worked there for over 20 years, including the financial crisis which AIG instigated, until upper management determined that my salary was too high, and I was riff'd. It never gets better, and no one respects the contributions that you make to the company. No matter what you do for the company, you are always replaceable.
