The original intent of NAFTA was to create jobs in Mexico so that illegal aliens would not have as much incentive to cross the USA boarder. Secondly, it was designed to stabilize the Mexican economy and prevent the spread of communist/socialist activity and politics.
I’m not sure anyone could say that NAFTA has been a success for the average American.
In 2021, American investors put more money into Mexico — buying companies and financing projects — than into China.
Cheap Labor is what Americans want. Not willing to pay Americans nor are Americans willing to work for cheap.....
