Can anyone in HR confirm if promotions were approved, your manager would have been notified either way? I’m hearing there was an extension and some might be approved starting July 1.

@se We're not a tech company.
@rz You SHOULD be happy - less than 2 years for even a single level promo is not that much time so acting like skipping a level is deserved is wild.
@se 💯
How does one skip a level for a promotion in any company? The amount of this abuse of titles to actual job duties and compensation is why this company is in debt. It’s called bloated management and that isn’t how real tech companies operate.
I got promoted. I was told by my line manager I was getting a promotion last week and today I received an email from HR confirming it. Senior Manager to Senior Director. Yes, I skipped a level, but I was held back for 21 months. I'm very happy.
One in seven ... Guys got all the factual data..
@j2 a title adjustment? What is this?
One out of seven employees awaiting promotion in my organization received what was labeled a "title adjustment."
For nearly two years, I've been subjected to a cycle of shifting narratives, unmet commitments, and repeated misrepresentations from my manager. "Bamboozled" is the humorous version; "systematically misled" is probably more accurate.
At this point, I'm weighing whether escalating the matter to HR is worth the effort. Regardless of that decision, the conclusion is becoming increasingly clear: it's time to get the F out of here :)
Sorry chief, you didn’t get it.
For my team, we were already notified, and yes, managers were informed whether they were approved or not.
