does anyone know when the official split between AIG and Corebridge will occur?

Look for them for ways to pump up the stock price. Probably more cost cutting measures and stock buyback of Corebridge.
Well, from that point of view depending on what area you are, you may already be past "split" or be here for the long haul. The business areas should be independent for the most part. IT is getting there - physical separation should be done by Q2-2023. AIG will still have oversight of other control functions such as Audit, Risk, Legal, Compliance etc until AIG is a majority owner.
it is "split" for those working for Corebridge who are past ready to see the last of AIG.
BTW, it's not "split". It's "spin-off". So the official spin-off has already happened, but AIG is still a majority owner (78%), so AIG pretty much still controls everything. The next meaningful event is when AIG becomes minority owner. Like others have said - that will more like happen in 2024 depending on the market conditions.
It will be as soon as AIG feels that the CRBG stock price is high enough for them to sell. First window opens up in March, but I’m guessing that market conditions won’t let this happen until 2024
Shooting for before year-end of 23....don't think it will happen.
