“Deathly afraid of covid”. Must be watching to much CNN - Most people just use it as an excuse, but ONLY when it is convenient for them (example: I cannot come into work, but wouldn’t think twice about going to a football game)

Chicago south region is nothing to write home about either. Lots of issues in the windy city, north suburbs and indiana as well. That includes the major accounts, and people covering them.
Quality of people and management has gone downhill dramatically in last year or so.
Cherone j is the worse, she has no clue what her team does
East Coast here and we have a two Unicorns that are in the office and in the field with us every day. We have 25 to 30 calls in our queues and are running 30+ hours on response times, and when our FSM runs a call to help us out, they get bitched at by their bosses and told they are not supposed to run calls. Basically saying eff the customer.
We have multiple high dollar high volume accounts and our manager has never been to visit or meet with any of them. He has been invited multiple times, but refuses to go to any of the status meetings with customers. The technicians and sales are left to attend the meetings and resolve their issues. We just run the buisness as if he does not exist.
I agree with the initial posters...Have not physically seen my manager for over 2 years. (Xerox direct Customer Service Engineers in a moderately sized mid-western city). He gave me my review over the phone (He lives 40 miles away) twice. Deathly afraid of covid and he sits at home...you can here the kids yelling and the dog barking on occasion. How he keeps his job is beyond me. But...he is still here...Will not visit customers when they request his presence. He demands we be there at 8, work through our lunch if needed and don't stop until 5. Xerox at it's best!!!
Our manager must be a unicorn. He’s in the trenches with us most of the week.
Please increase the dividend.
Just a absolute SS over here, just exactly the same as what your saying.
I am not sure what part of the country you are in, but our managers are still very hands on. Maybe we are just lucky. They are running a 20-1 ratio in most areas so they don’t have a choice.
I so believe that. Truly. Only because what you just said, i saw for myself. If you told me otherwise, i would just say you are probably exaggerating the issue. But you are spot on. Its insane. A 5 year old with a coloring book could manage this stuff better. One of the most true posts that i have seen on here in a ling time. This is why this company is so messed up and oblivious to the issues at hand. Very very well said. And yes he went golfing and disappeared a whole lot. Would not respond to emails voice mails or texts. Nothing but canned responses.
It really was incredible.
Mine doesn't , haven't seen him or talked with him for several months. He could careless about anyone or anything other than collecting a paycheck. Nobody knows what he does other than golf. If it wasn't for the techs our customers would be long gone. Unbelivable to me but it is what it is!
