Thread regarding NCR Corp. layoffs

A lot of us are stuck here

If we take into consideration that almost no one is happy working here, then we can say that far too few people are leaving. Looks like we're mostly all stuck here?

I did. Went to Hyosung. I thought ncr was bad. Boss suck there also. Lasted almost 4 years. Go out a month or so later, my replacement got robbed.

It is always a good idea to have a resume that is current in case the unexpected happens. It is much easier to just begin the search instead of having to get yourself collected from a blindside in order to put together a great resume. Also I encourage anyone wanting a review of their resume to look at Adam Karpiak (he is on LinkedIn).

I’m not afraid at all to move on. Like one of the posters I am one of many hoping for the call to be released. Get your resume up to date if need be have a professional look it over and update for you. Training other people is not easy and it depends on the person you’re training. Plus in my area we have network calls that are completely disruptive. My TM and TL are not good so another big reason I am pushing hard to move on.

Teach them nothing. Let NCR hire capable people or pay to teach them. You're putting yourself on the street once you teach the third world neanderthals NCR hires to replace us.

My bosses are awesome. But unfortunately since more than half of employment was sent to the country 11 hours ahead of EST, that means I have to get up at 6am or stay up till midnight in order to show them how to do my job. Even then I only get a couple hours a day to teach many of them how to use an operating system.

Many that have put in years of service are just waiting for the layoffs. Get the packaged and find another job or retire.

Many people are afraid it will be worse at another employer. NCR is actually better than many other companies if you have a good manager.
Don't be afraid to put your resume out and see what offers you get.
