Thread regarding Sears layoffs

International Sears

OK, with all the discussion on Bermuda Sears, I just wanted to post these links of international Sears. I'm not sure which, if any of them, are affiliated with the US-based Sears company, so maybe someone with more Knowledge, can shed some Light on that:

In all seriousness, though, it appears that only the US/PR/USVI/Guam stores are part of Transformco's Sears (with Bermuda being a "maybe"). All of the other countries (Kuwait, Mexico, etc.), have Sears locations that are unrelated to Transfromco (much like the Aussie/NZ Kmarts).

To the 2 posters directly below this, I see that the New Years Day imbibing is continuing. I can't decipher what those posts are about, but it's OK to not be sober TODAY. Just don't drive, please.

This sentence, LOL: "Multiply negative votes by -1 to see what discomfits or otherwise works to the opposite of the anti-matter universe wishful thinking that inspires some entries."
Get a full Night's rest, sober up, and try again Tomorrow.

Here's what will be left soon, unless Sears.com and Kmart.com somehow prove viable on their own: https://www.sears.com.mx/. This is the real part of Sears that remains, not figments of some url's imagination listed above. Since this it the truth, my expectation is for it to receive soon more negative than positive votes. In Sears Layoff, the credible posts that remain are often the most credible. Multiply negative votes by -1 to see what discomfits or otherwise works to the opposite of the anti-matter universe wishful thinking that inspires some entries.

Sears Bermuda is owned by a local company called MarketPlace

Wrong. The article clearly states Sears Hometown had a store in Bermuda at the Transformco bought back Hometown. The count as of the filing does not include any stores in Bermuda.

This article states that TransformCo does own the Sears Hometown Store in Bermuda.

I think the Sears in India is where all the customer service calls go.

Sears India has been multiple IT offices doing IT work on the cheap for us. Most of this IT work was then fixed by IT in Hoffman because they had brains.

Sears Israel was a very small IT shop that we bought because they had the skills to enhance our online to be the best in the world.

There are also Sears stores in El Salvador and Guatemala, which I believe are part of Sears Mexico.

To the poster below, yes, it appears they CAN do that. Although the Sears design in Kuwait is blatantly copied from US Sears (but then again, so is Aussie Kmart, in your example). So you're right, these might all just be unrelated.

Can't someone in a foreign country use the Sears name just like Kmart in Australia is using the same name and logo, yet unrelated to Transformco?
