Hertz owed me severance pay for my lay off during covid..I found a new job..
Just got a letter stating since they paid Medicare taxes and FICA..they are sending me a W2 stating it is taxable income.
Anybody still on this thread that got this letter..anybody know anything about this?

Nearly 3 years later we just can’t get this scank of a company off our back! Another year and another screwup that affects our tax filing. Let’s look forward to 2023 where we are finally done with them.
I worked for hertz over 12 years . They fired me over a rumor and not paid me any money
Not surprising. They used your medicare costs as tax benefits not they are trying to collect from you
