Why Your Performance Ratings Are Lower

The simplest explanation for why your performance ratings have been declining is that your performance is declining.

When you’re not railing against workplace diversity, ESG, or proclaiming that your human rights are being violated by office layouts, you’re generally accomplishing nothing of added value.

Very few of you have evolved your skills and knowledge base to include anything that isn’t from the previous decade. Almost none of you have adjusted to the culture of the modern workforce.

Bottom line: you’re not nearly as valuable or competent as you think yourselves to be. You need to own that.

@vzw If you consider $185k/year after 20 years on the job to be “a lot more” then yeah, maybe. Doesn’t change the fact that the best among you are mediocre on your best day though.

Why is it so difficult for so many of you to fathom that you might not be as good at what you do as you used to be - or perhaps that you were never very good at it to begin with? I just don’t see what’s controversial or upsetting about this.

My favorite part of this post is that all of the training presentations say rankings are relative to your peers and not necessarily reflective of your work product over time. So this person either isn’t an employee or is really bad at reading comprehension.

Well, that, and it’s just math.

About the same # of mgrs and hi-po’s… so, very few Os and Es to spread around. Also, since we’ve chosen to protect the cheap-labor, there is no longer global competition.

This is not the place to be for a US-based non hi-po
