Thread regarding Edward Jones layoffs

New software on software center looked it up. JOY

Saw it and thought oh what’s this. Yay so excited for further micromanagement

@bq you’re 100% correct because it happened to me. Then when I pushed back, the HC as$h0le had the audacity to then turn around accuse me of using a “mouse mover” when I was too active because I was terrified to leave my desk for 8.5 hours for more than a few mins. Also couldn’t tell me if it tracked the emails or Teams messages I responded to from my phone. And their plan is working. I’m literally so sick with anxiety every single day that I don’t want to even work. So, yup, after many many many years here I’m looking for another place to work. It’s truly a level of micromanagement I’ve never thought possible here.

It appears this software is often used in contact centers, to essentially serve as a work planning tool. Workday, which the firm also has plans for I believe, can track associate logins, general location at time of logins/swipes, etc. It has many other uses too if you look it up. Either way, it's just another box to check in the "how many people can we get to quit without having to pay severance playbook".

Sadly I'm too chicken to go look this up. Big brother is always watching...

This place is turning into a dystopian sh1thole. What next? Are we going to have a new badge system we use for going to the bathroom and leaving the home office building? These people are insecure, psychotic little sh!ts.

So I assume that when they see mouse, key, screen, phone, and work item activity extends up to approximately 10 hours a day. We will be rewarded handsomely with extra pay, bonuses, and LP.

Just one more tool in ELTs arsenal to p-ss off as many people as they can in an effort to get them to quit, because you don't have to lay off when people give up and leave on their own.

Beyond that, I suspect that it will be used as a productivity enforcement mechanism to put anyone on a PIP that is deemed "not productive enough".

Sweet Georgia Brown, the leadership in this place must be taking cues from communist Russia because they want to control every aspect of our lives during the workday.

I can't decide whether to just say f--k this place and leave for somewhere I KNOW I can make more money, or just hang around doing the minimum to not get fired while collecting my grade 10 salary (which, if I'm honest, should be a grade 12 considering the risk I'm exposed to and licenses/certifications I'm required to have for my role), bonuses and LP distributions.

I really want to believe that when PP ages out of the MP office that DC won't slither in and this place might have half a snowballs chance in h-ll at surviving after the past few years.

@OP wonder if you are watching training and it thinks you’re not doing anything. Or on a zoom just listening.
