Greed and Brown Nosers Keeps Employees to Work at a Filthy Place

What keeps people to work at a filthy and toxic place where pretense is the default and real talent has no place. Almost all good talent has left the company but who are the ones who keep working here in spite of their so called good degrees (e.g. even the so called Berkeley, MIT, Stanford grads.... for anyone remaining, It is clear they were the bottom feeders there as well). These living beings have certain common characteristics:

  1. Driven by pure greed (paychecks over moral)
  2. Driven by fake sense of power in lowly management roles
  3. Scared to work in a competitive fair environment among real talents
  4. Only talent is to say yes to bosses and lie every second without remorse
  5. Spineless and fake personality

You are being nice to Clinton/Annandale by downplaying how toxic the place has been for 15+ years.

It has been the home of some of the worst technical people in Materials Science, Computational Science, Biological Sciences, and Data Science. Just a place full of terrible people with bad attitudes to hide their incompetencies.

The comments and observations are very true.
It seems that continue to work and raise no objections are from

(I) places no other good company would hire from
Or
(Ii) The unwanted, bottom of the barrel loser students from the few good universities.

If you’re so unhappy, OP, leave. Your mental health is more important than a job.
If you’ve left and are happy, good for you.

If you haven’t left, then aren’t you exactly the type you’re complaining about?

If you were never taught to please and puff yourself up to the people who decide whether you're worth keeping around, your parents failed.

Still here and literally none of your listed aspects are it for me. What keeps me here? I believe in the future of myself, my work, and what the corporation can do for me as well what I can do for it. Change is hard but it is always constant. Does that mean I’m greedy? Nope.

I love the “talent is staying” comment. That’s funny. Those that remain definitely have some talents, just not technical talents.

Got a family to feed, man. You worry about your dharma, I’ll worry about mine.

Hyperbole at its best. Didn't get ranked well then everyone else is a brown noser. Hard truth is rankings get harder because talent is staying and the bottom keeps leaving. You are the people who are toxic, blaming everyone for your own failures.

They existed long before. You just only cared because they are the cockroach that survived. Were was the outrage back then?

No amount of paycheck is sufficient to justify the moral deprivation and loss of valuable years doing shi-tty work.

It takes absolute hollowness of one’s soul to justify working at such a place.
