Go Go and company have been traveling around the country talking to investors. They’re trying very hard to sell them on how great having midstream and chemicals is. And maybe it is.
The thing is P66 is a refiner before anything else.
Refining is hardly mentioned in these talks.
Elliott must be putting pressure on the ELT.

If Midstream is so important and growing EBITDA is so important in that business, why do you hire a refining manager to run the commercial organization?! Do you think your Midstream leaders (Targa, EPD, ET, Williams) would do that?
Leadership at PSX is a popularity contest and a reward for loyalty, and more than I have seen in other companies. You are in favor with the right leader and they will throw you at any role, qualified or not.
Must be talking up EBITA to Wall Street even though it was impaired for VCIP.
