Thread regarding Charles Schwab Corp. layoffs

Failure after failure and still climbing the ladder

I don't get it. I've watched two managers make huge errors, cost the company, and get promoted anyway. No connections, just rewarded for failure. What am I missing?

@cc sorry this is happening to you, when I was there the same had happened to many of my tenured coworkers as well as my self. Definitely felt the age discrimination after the TD merger on multiple levels.

You have to get a good pair of knee pads and practice eating corn dogs and bratwurst. Now that you losers are in office more you can pay 15 dollars for either at lunch. Quit crying and work harder!

Been here 30 years. Was subject to age discrimination and written up in December so I would not get bonus or raise.

Sunk cost fallacy and or useful clown syndrome. The worst employee is also your unlikeliest threat.

Someone likes them. Or maybe they took the fall for someone higher up with their “mistake” and were treated well for it. Always possible there is blackmail or a bribe, or they are related to a powerful politician. Nothing is truly about merit here.
