Just saw that the Beat scheduled for 2/25/2026 was canceled for “leader training”. I guess the ELT is coaching them what to say for the upcoming layoff.

It says leader meeting not leader training
Training is done per region, each region with its specifics
So don't pull thing from your rear
I specifically said accelerate. Not start.
I follow him on LinkedIn. I know how often he visits (and posts) about India. And the company is investing heavily there.
Everyone knows how hiring/promotion decisions are made with these ethnicities. It’s the worst kept secret in tech.
@am you really aren't caught up to the news? Or events?
Check how many times he has been to his actual country. And what has he been doing. Move to off shore is already happening.
@aj funny how that works out. They have all of this junk planned out. Employees are just an item on the spreadsheet.
Dirty Don's tariffs are accelerating job cuts ✂️
@a5 if G2 is announced as new CEO then expect offshoring to accelerate.
@aj Wow, I didn't even think about that! Well Played Cisco! $$$ Huge Savings $$$
It was my first thought when they pushed half our merit increases out 6 months that they might take action before that time...this would fit that timeline. Interesting.
Cisco doesn’t deserve any hard work or dedication from the employees. I don’t even know how many layoffs I’ve avoided in my career here but it still get’s stressful. This place is truly awful. I wish the market was in a better place.
@a6 "Updates on steps we are taking to increase financial and operational discipline" means budget cuts, which can also mean layoffs. But I agree, that it could be something else besides layoffs like major restructuring of the business, or announcing they are "divesting" dropping whole orgs/BUs.
Timing is ominous with restrictions put in place today on travel
They’ve never had special leader meetings for layoffs in the past.
There’s something else going on.
Is cr retiring? Or layoffs?
@a3 confirming this is what is in the email and not something made up like 98 percent of the stuff on here
Yes, I’m a leader at Cisco. It is definitely layoff related. Here is what is in the invite for leaders.
Please prioritize this special edition Leader Check-In. If you are unable to join the live session, please ensure you watch the recording by the end of the week.
Purpose:
We can all feel the company’s momentum, and we want to extend and protect that position. To do that, it’s important that every leader is enabled to articulate the short-term challenges inside of our long-term growth strategy.
What to Expect:
An open discussion following earnings
Updates on steps we are taking to increase financial and operational discipline
An opportunity to communicate directly with the ELT
Good luck to us all.
Yeah absolutely something is brewing.
