Layoffs will always occur in months that end on a Friday, Saturday, or Sunday.
It makes the accounting easier.
That means even December is game if the 31st is on a Saturday
Bonus hint: Layoffs occur after elections not before. No company wants their layoffs to be an election issue.
This sounds like a really far fetched old wives tale. I could be wrong but there is no magic 8 ball to this type of stuff.
I've been laid off twice BEFORE the end of the month so the employer would NOT have to pay me for the month's vacation AND some companies do that so they don't need to pay your commission when you're in sales (Lenovo did pay me commission when I was laid off from their sales team, so I can't complain).
