Thread regarding Lowe's Cos. layoffs

Nothing to fall back on

For those of you who have an alternative or can quickly find a new offer, it is easy to make constant complaints. However, I don't have the luxury of simply getting a better offer, and I have nothing to fall back on if I lose this job. I know, I'm partly to blame for that, but that's the reality of most of us who are still here.

  • All I'm interested in is how to keep my job here as long as possible.

Back when I worked for Lowe’s o was the person always pulled from my department to work somewhere else because management knew I’d do what I was asked to do.

A customer noticed this and wanted to know what it would take for me to leave Lowe’s. He said he liked my work ethic and how I didn’t back down from a task.

Now I work for a rental center that rents to contractors. I’m home every evening and weekends. Make more money as well.

Believe me, there is life beyond Lowes. For your resume just say you were in a coma during those dates.

This is a simple website for people to complain and rant. Nothing more nothing less. Look at all or any the companies on here. Most of the 'issues' are always similar in nature. Pay (this is never new) management, Board of Directors, stock prices, decision's that are made, workload, hours, schedules, age discrimination & of course conspiracy theories. It never ends. Point being read the posts and laugh a bit then move on.

You do you.
