Thread regarding PepsiCo Inc. (Pepsi) layoffs

Worth it to stay in recruiting at Pepsi?

Recruiting for the company Pepsi currently is feels dishonest and “icky.” It’s impossible to paint the culture as the picture we’re expected to without straight up lying. I have another gig on the side— enough to stay afloat comfortably, but without benefits. Is it worth it to part ways now? Do we see it getting any better?

I know someone who was hired after the last round of layoffs and is laid off in the current round, they have a young family and yes I think recruiting them was downright dishonest.

It is icky, but leaving isn't going to change that. There are always a supply of Indians on standby to take over your job.

As a new grad who was completely straight up lied to in the recruiting process I'd say no. I've never had an interview with as many blatant lies as I did here.

It’s been this way at PepsiCo for decades. The company builds up and tears down. Positive strides with leadership generally exist for 2-3 years periods. Painful on both sides of the good times. This is early in a big tear down.
