Exxon countering an offer

I am interested in whether anyone has received a counteroffer from Exxon? Any thoughts on how common it is here? I honestly don't know anyone to whom this has happened.

It does happen but extremely rare. Based more on business need vs. individual performance. More common for non-HC10 employees.

Quit a couple weeks back. They offered to show me my raise to get me to stay....naw I'm good.

Just this month, I heard of someone that had announced leaving and within a week it changed his mind and just transferred to new position.

XOM is not trying to retain employees, why would they counter? They are 10K above their headcount target and attrition has not been as high as they planned.
