If someone throws a bucket of paint on you, you don’t just accept it and shrug your shoulders. You chase them down and beat the tar out of them.
Personally i never liked painting. Painting is fun for the first 10 minutes after that it’s nothing but trim work.
Pay a painter what he’s worth and bring help to speed up the job. Don’t hire a painter to paint 7 houses by 10am in a day. Betting the painter quits.
You cant do more and more work like xerox wants you to do. Most people have the backbone to say no. Its wrong and everyone knows it’s wrong. Yet people come on here defending xerox.
Well you get what you deserve if you can’t see whats mutating here.
Get out of this industry completely, and painting is not a real good idea either.

FYI tell your manager if you hear your teammates talking like this. I would tell my manager about you so fast. Join the club, lots of us are working hard minus the tantrums.
