Thread regarding State Street Corp. layoffs

I'm sitting here, praying for a layoff

I don't want it for others, but myself. I would volunteer if there was a way. I'm just so done with this place.

@ja With the company 20+ years...Min severance is 10 weeks...max is 52...health included for duration of severance package. You are referring to COBRA.

You must be on crack if you think you are getting a full year benefits. Good luck and re read your package.

The health is not a year paid off you might wanna reread the packet. Its 102 percent you pay what you paid in plus the freight and 2 percent.

@aw back in 2019, I had an older work friend that requested his boss to be place him on the 'list'. He didn't get laid off until the summer of 2025. I don't think his request in 2019 caused him to be laid off because by that time he changed his mind and reported to someone else.

@aw I'm told by some if you volunteer you don't get the severance. Seems boss dependent though.

@a1 most people being laid off wouldn't be at the level to get one year severance. Lucky you as that would be best case scenario escaping this sweat shop.

Just ask your boss to be on the list. They'd prob welcome the volunteer

I'm done with this place too. Now with so many people force to go into the office, there's so much office politics and chatter that takes up most of my day and energy.

If I can WFH, I can get more work accomplished. But the company wants us to suffer so we can quit and not get severance.
