I was laid of from Key earlier this year (in the spring time) and this was after laying off two people who reported to me at the very beginning of the year. Key has gotten very smart and savvy about the way they do layoffs anymore. It's rarely a big announcement of cutting X number of jobs, and rather a few people here, a few people there, and you turn around and the workforce has been reduced by 5-10%.
