"Im forgoing a pretty sizeable bonus but to me its worth it"
So true. Can't put a price tag on peace
Alan was definitely one of the better ones.
Lots of senior people leaving lots of layoffs lots of attrition. I feel at least talking to my team here in NYC they are aware there is going to be way more cuts coming. Also with this new forced AI training and such its only a matter of time before lots more things are cut. I am actually excited I am In the offer stage at a smaller shop here in NYC and cannot wait to leave. Im forgoing a pretty sizeable bonus but to me its worth it. The details on what's to come that has been shared to me is bad. Lots and I mean lots of cuts coming, forced initiatives, no hiring , its going to be really bad in 2026. I was very hesitant to leave before bonus but it just is a better life choice for me. For everyone still here I really suggest you look its going to be painful soon.
Alan is all in all a fair manager. He took direct interest in projects and attended detailed planning sessions for a couple I was involved in. He is not some spoiled and pampered cat. There were times he could be unreasonable on dates but whatever. He is most of all, a critical thinker. And critical thinkers are going extinct here because they challenge our obscenely dull witted management.
Alan- send us applications!!
