Thread regarding GlobalFoundries layoffs

We are looking at a short reprieve, not a full stop

This round will finish up by tomorrow morning. My guess is the next round will be early Q2 2023.

This right here. I don't see anything happening for the remainder of the year or early in 2023 after this round is wrapped up. But we are far from being safe. We will see more major layoffs within months. We're still not out of the woods.

Early 2023 will be for Dresden, the second exercise for the next 100Million likely on second half of 2023.

Not too mention that all the first round layoff people are already applying and scooping up local jobs. Our department lost some very experienced people. They were higher paid but good assets. Now it’s just the cheap seats left. GF is a sh/t ho-e and even worse now.

The next package won’t be nearly as good as this one was.
