@OP Don't know if true but heard today trying to close before the Dec 31, some are speculating so they don't have to pay out our vacation time that re-up in January.

Who cares if you post the local? What difference does that make for anything? Sounds more like you’re making sh-t up or you’re not a union member at all and doesn’t even know what the local chapter is. “Listen to the town hall” sounds like a non union desk jockey staring at his screen all day. Who the f cares when all you can do is say “rumors” “story” “estimated” “tentative”. Are you the same fool that was saying the deal would close before the end of the year? Mo--n!

If they were closing in the first half of next year, why the rush to get things done in December?

They were waiting on Washington State and they came to an agreement. It's done, have not heard an official date but it will come soon.
Grow the F up… Why wouldn’t they close on Jan 1.. It makes the bookkeeping easier for the valued Vendor partners…” you know Kates corporate friends” that actually run the companies books and the day to day operations! The concept of what is best or fair or good for the Employees, never enters their mind!

My locals vp is on my crew. Just called him and he hasn’t heard that. Not saying it’s bs but what local is pushing that? We’d like some more info. He’s trying to get ahold of the pres to see if anything has come from the national regarding this. Agree if it happens this quick it’ll be a big shakeup since about 1/4 of our crew is moving over

Wouldn’t worry too much about a local trying to stir people up. Saying early close is not the same as January 1st. That’s ridiculous. The rumor is early 1st quarter. Which may be March or April. Unless the original poster or someone in the local works for the doj or fcc and moonlights for the dod and homeland security and has the power to push this deal thru in the next 3 weeks then this post is bogus.
@b8 Story is a local union is sending around an email and this is the date they have listed for the tentative close. And yes, many of their members plus elected officers are impacted.
If YOU were an employee of the company all of the signs point to an early close.
