Boeing roomers of layoffs for the last 10 years . But there have been zero layoffs in the aircraft mechanic area. They had a couple of VOLS but zero layoffs. Go to work do your job and believe no with over 20 years , they love to start roomers.

What are you guys talking about. What data shows there are near term RIFs? If anything they are expanding. Look at the 87 for example, they just broke ground on the new line and are planning to go increase rate over the next couple of years. Boeing has had an excellent year with orders even outpacing Airbus. The 777x was delayed, however you think there will be layoffs while they are trying to get it off the ground....? Layoffs are seasonal for sure, but I do not foresee large RIFs in the near future, quite contrary actually.

I hope BA cancels the Max program. I do not believe that plane is safe. Bring back pre-Max 737s.
Ortberg could not fix the problem, mainly because he is like every other manager at Boeing who can't see and/or ignores the culture problem staring them right in the face.

So notices to go out in Jan-2026 which means 60 days after that until actual layoff? Also, is this a VLO, ILO or a combination of both?
