My experience at the Fidelity India UFest was a complete letdown. The event was chaotic and demeaning, making attendees feel like a herd of animals. The leadership session only made things worse, revealing a clear disconnect and a lack of operational knowledge. It's a shame, as I joined through the LEAP program with high expectations, but this has completely changed my view of the company's culture.

I can't decipher what @by was trying to say. Dalian office produced some quality work, is cheaper and was closed.
@by didn't they shut down Dalian? Quite the opposite of what you are saying. Sorry, but you are clueless, much like the leadership being talked about here.
What is UFest ?
@OP are you still in LEAP? If so, they'll be serving you more kool-aid in sort order, not to worry friend. In the meantime - put some meetings on calendars so you can compare your promotions and raises for the next few years with your fellow LEAP graduating classmates
Fidelity has moved on to China for cheaper, better talent. Now you know how Americans have felt for the last decade. Sorry, not sorry.
When Fidelity goes cheap, they go UFest. You get what you pay for, what else do you expect?
"servitude" much?
Bunch of clueless people walking around busy here and there and attending pointless zoom meetings and reviewing ppts..That is what India leadership is about .No real contribution to anything that really matters to the company
Tech leadership is filled with people who can't even write a hello world program
India leadership is all about acting .They prepare presentations .have he-l lot of dry runs and learn to act and impress visiting white population .In their eyes ,best employee is someone who can ask “the most obvious and stupid “ question to the visiting leaders .They regard this the biggest act and employee can have for promotion .They have another buzz word called visibility .
Let's not forget the mandatory "leadership chats" or "fireside chats",another farce they force down our throats. The only reason they strong arm everyone into coming to the office is to pack the meeting rooms like a staged set. It's a pathetic attempt to show their "white masters" abroad what a bustling, obedient workforce they command.
The content of these sessions is even more embarrassing. We're subjected to a parade of boomers recycling cringe-worthy jokes that were stale in the 1970s. They are so profoundly out of touch it's physically uncomfortable to watch; they have no clue the world has moved on, leaving them behind as awkward, mumbling relics of a bygone era. It's a special kind of torture.
True...These guys think that lower grade employees are dying going to go to five star hotel and they will thank them for creating a chance to visit five star hotel...
