From the company update today, it seems like the dust has settled and the layoffs are more less over (At least for now). If you are able to put your emotions aside and see the situation as a problem that needs to be solved, you’ll realize that there is window of opportunity right now to take tactful actions while the fire is still hot. Let’s use this thread to share actionable post layoff advice.
- Update your resume, LinkedIn, website etc. ASAP
- Reach out to your ex coworkers immediately for support. Emotions are high and people want to help now more than ever.
- If you’re interested in staying at PepsiCo, this is a great time to explore opportunities across all the brands. you already have institutional knowledge of the company so you’re way ahead of the game and have an advantage compared to outside candidates. There are many open roles.
- Reach out to recruiters, head hunters and contacts. Let people know that you’re looking.
- Ask Superiors to write recommendations for you on LinkedIn
