Worked and Retired there after 25 years! 3M held all accountable for Safety ! I know, I was in many of their meetings and follow ups! There were NO, Deviations from Specs unless via the Guildlines and upper Approval.

My job put food and cloths on my families back! Supported community charities and treated us with respect. That was 1976 to 2001.

3M is a mess right now. They are cutting jobs. In some situations you have trainers and maintenance people being forced to transfer into production. The whole bump policy allows employees to bump employees they have more seniority than out of their jobs. The restructuring is still taking place, so if you are at the bottom of the barrel, your best bet is to find another job before you are bumped out of the door.

Matt Collins is the worst thing ever to happen to 3M Guin. Although I still work here he let a girl go and C crew that didn't do a damn thing wrong. I think they made s*** up just to get rid of her because she wouldn't put up when nobody's BS. She didn't deserve it.

3m is an awful place to work. Bad management. They do not care about the employees. Terrible amounts of overtime. I could rant all night.

Sorry to hear about the Plant layoffs. Especially during this festive season. Moreover its after you guys have delivered much for the company during the Pandemic support. That's the reward for your contributions. Thank you very much.

Plant manager is tone deaf. Terrible optics. And these people are the best we have? No wonder this is turning into a $h-- $how.

The United Way is a criminal organization. They skim off the top of donations and then decide what few pennies are going to go to the various charities that they assist. Give your money directly to the charity of your choice. The United Way is a disgrace.

Regarding the 35k donation to United Way while also firing long time loyal employees the same week, the guy that posted how 3M ramps up its PR while simultaneously maltreating its employees comes to mind.

How can a plant manager with a conscience fire hard working peons while smiling with a check for UW. No issue with united way. Have donated for years. The fact that ex employees will need to use UW services like food banks and shelters is appalling.

She should have told 3M "no, fire me. I will not do it" where are the heroes?

As Decatur was in the middle of notifying employees about the workforce reductions, the Plant Manager had a photo op with the city of her donating $35K to the United way.

You can’t tell me that these chuckleheads didn’t know what catastrophic damage they were causing the environment. As part of the “Collaborative agreement to resolve ongoing litigation and negotiations related to per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) near 3M's Decatur, Ala. facility, 3M is going to “Enhance the quality of life for Decatur residents.” The only way to do that is for 3M to permanently leave the city. 🛫

There will be more rounds coming next week. The company wants people off the books by end of year. Cottage grove and the campus should claim you're sick with rsv, flu, and covid and can't work or take calls through dec 24th. What have you got to lose

3M has lived for a long time with higher priced products than the competition by emphasizing quality. Not sure consumers today with inflation are willing to pay that much more for the logo.

What does Decatur make
