The next time they have a town hall— Someone should ask why the company is giving millions of dollars to that thug Habib as a consultant. He and other former Nielsen executives are calling the shots on these layoffs if you can believe it. I didn’t work here when he was here, but a family member did and I know the havoc he caused. I think it just shows the ineptitude of the current leadership team that they have to bring in outside ex employees and pay them to consult on operations. I work in what was called the ROC, we now call it He-l. They fired the leader of the call center and are now combining us with them. No one knows who reports to who. The last time they changed something they put a guy in charge of the ROC who had never managed so much as an ant farm much less a group of people. Now the same thing. Now the word my manager told us Monday is they are going to combine the Audio MRs job with the TAM MRs and have them do the same job and cut a bunch of MRs. And have a bunch of the recruiting done by us in what is called the Contact Center. I asked if we would be getting more pay or incentive. He said- yep- you get to keep your job. Time to find something else. I agree with others. If this is Christine or whoever’s vision or doing. Worst thing that ever happened to Nielsen. And kick Habib out! He and his minions ruined this place once. Why give them a second chance!

Will this be asked today?
Good luck asking Habib anything. He just wants money. He doesn't care about ruining the business or any of your lives!

Wow. I'm former Nielsen. Been gone a few years after a 15+ year run. I can't believe that corporate cretin, Habib, is still in the mix. I was there in 06/07 when he was brought in my Calhoun, another hack (from GE), to bring "efficienies" to the company and also integrate what was AC Nielsen with Nielsen ratings. Their mantra was "Simple, Open and Integrated," or something like that. It ended up being complex, closed and chaotic. Multiple sales and product teams fighting for territory with clients. Back stabbing like I've never seen. And Mitchy boy was more than happy with it. Gave him a reason to institute his GE "bottom 10" rule, meaning you fire your bottom 10% every year. As if they could ever rank employees accurately. Then, of course, he outsourced to TCS in India in what was the biggest outsourcing contract at the time in American history. Thousands of Americans were laid off and had to train their Indian replacements. Totally degrading. I was in the North East but heard horror stories from Oldsmar. Then he eventually took off with his millions after the company went public again. That's his "M O." He comes in, decapitates and takes off a little bit richer than before. If you're at Nielsen because it's just to pay the bills and it's a job, find another one. You'll be thankful in the long run.
