Today was a sad day at FIS, lots of really good people let go and much of the dead weight remains☹️ no rhyme or reason for the people that I’m aware of that lost jobs today. People from senior VPs right down to the cheap University Program “kids” that were supposed to be our future let go, makes no sense beyond making FIS a toxic work environment for the next generation, unless of course they opt to break it all up and sell off pieces of the business. Namely the whole Worldpay debacle, looked great on paper but no growth beyond simple debit and credits.
Thoughts? What do you all think?

One of the main issues at FIS is they buy up these companies that are underperforming and then allow the management of those underperforming companies to remain and never assimilate into anything into what FIS is. They retain all their garbage practices and methods. FIS directs me to do X, but I routinely get told by these other companies 'We don't have to do that'. Absolute mess. Upper management is in the dark.
More layoffs expected still in February. Far from over.
can someone share servance information ?
My developer was let go. he was working on a critical issue for my Client. Wonder how they will explain this mess? We were understaffed to support clients on a day to day basis on my product. We are all putting in 12-14 hour days just to keep the client happy. Any issue and we were swimming upstream. and now, we have lost our life jackets
I was part of a FIS reduction in force back in 2008, came back a few months later, then part of a small RIF again in 2022. I heard the news from a few former colleagues today, and my heart goes out to all that were let go today (or in the coming days).
"4200 people let go today folks"
Are these numbers from Workday? Just curious. That gets us to about $420 million in 'savings', another $80 million (~800 people) to go.
I was wondering if the cuts were going to be targeted to particular biz units, or 20% across the board. They seem concentrated so far.
4200 people let go today folks
Cuts all across.
Client facing teams impacted - appears that company doesn’t give a s*** about people dealing with clients or on ground. Crash and burn is anout to happen. The place is beyond repair.
The new lady CEO is an arrogant pr--k flies around in company jet in her fancy two shoes without a f’ing clue. Merchant is dead, new banking President is a joke, new platforms President is clueless - all making millions. They fired payments and network GM. What is going on…look for a job before your turn comes folks.
