That is how my manager behaves, as if we should all be happy and satisfied just because we have a job here. Are you sick of it too? I think they underestimate us a bit. There are still many talented people here and there are much better jobs out there.

Beware of recent management games. They act as though they encourage you to apply for open jobs internally . Decision already made by hiring manager to hire somebody they know from their previous employer. The applying employee made to look incompetent and gets RIFed out without any meaningful reason. The manager is awarded a small cash bonus for saving money for the company.
I keep asking to get RIF'd.....they leave me alone. It's about how you posture yourself with the folks.
Do what ever you can to balance your work life. If you didn't get a raise or a good bonus even though you we went above and beyond, then dial back on the work / productivity and focus on self improvement and label that productivity. Focus on your health and family above your work. Sign off and disconnect from work when the work day is over and don't answer work related items until the next business day. Take your PTOs without being connected to your work mobile phone, for those that have it. No one is going to die because you didn't answer an email.
As we said in the service, a happy enlisted man is a bi--hing enlisted man. You all sound pretty damn happy.

As long as people aren't making your life miserable maybe you should be happy you have a job. If your problem is pay then leaving is an option. If they're making your life miserable they have no right to expect you to be happy
Lots of companies are laying off people right now and there are hiring freezes. There are jobs, but there’s lots of competition to get a better paying job. Let’s hope AIG doesn’t start laying off employees like the other companies.
More Layoffs in progress should be good for the company management bad for poor employees.
If you are not happy you should leave. Atleast one person job will be saved because of you.
