Today we learned that the VC PE had not written code since 2008, and it's doubtful they even wrote code at that time. At this company, there is no evidence that they can write code at all since there have been no commits to any shipping product.
They do claim to have done PHP.
Why is this person employed?
Companies don't buy or renew for VC functionality...they are simply trapped by the hypervisor, which is all VMW has ever had as a legitimate product. The rest if it all is a fugazi.
