Thread regarding Allstate Corp. layoffs

Any new info...?

Does anyone know what areas are being eliminated, outsourced, or reduced? I've seen posts about RMBC, ASIC, claims, but haven't seen much about other areas.

Fire the sales leader, says the sales person that has no sales talent

As for those that get no severance, we’re you not warned for more than a year? That’s on you.

You say that There should be some legal recourse for those employees who have been told “go to the vendor or quit”.
Why? You are an employee at will. You have no right to a particular job with Allstate.
We understand that Allstate is being a real jerk.
But still - Get over yourself.

The scary thing about the vendor contracts is that we as people are included in those contracts to be "transferred". Not just our positions. They are literally selling us off to the vendor as an extension of Allstate which is why it is why accept your fate with the vendor or quit. Never thought I would see the day with this company. SMH.

There should be some legal recourse for those employees who have been told “go to the vendor or quit”. They should be eligible for unemployment at minimum if they don’t agree to go to the “job at the vendor” Allstate told them to take. Something doesn’t seem legal with this whole concept.

All areas of the company are being reviewed and assessed for licensing and training in India or with contracted vendors. Almost all areas will be impacted in some ways by end of 2023. That is what we were told during our announcement. It seems like traditional "lay offs" and severances are no longer the norm as the company has gone to a more "rebadging" or vendoring your position (you included) out to another company or lift and shift to areas of needs within Allstate. There may be some layoffs and severances but not as much as it used to be.
