no one is safe
Some of the Tanzu customers are looking at migrating off to our competitors. Product is complex and not exactly user friendly. TAP is getting better but is not very mature.
Tanzu is NOT safe, GM left back in December, Director of PM left back in November, COO left back in October, layoffs of sales staff recently. No hiring of engineers to make the product better. 4 different runtimes (TKGI, TKGm, TKGs, vSphere 8) to support and there's no way they can make this product any better than their competitors with this many options. TAP is garbage, nobody is buying it. All fluff from leadership. A week prior to the layoffs, Roger VP of sales was touting that they'll exceed their # - what a flippin' joke.
Craig McLuckie and Joe Beda also got the F out of VMware quick. At least we have Joshua Burgin in a leadership position now.
All is well… all is well.
Tanzu is vastly underperforming - expect changes there. Even Ajay Patel did not want to stick around! That tells you something.
Tanzu will safe , but hock still will cut so many unsold products and will make tanzu lean. Sales team is also very fat, he will flat them.
It might be somewhat safe, but if the ARR isn't there.. Hock will make big changes.
Heard that they're restructuring their sales teams. Not too sure though.
