There were rows and rows of color coordinated (for now) clearance clothes. I have never seen that many clothes in one place. There were also racks and racks of shoes (mostly women’s shoes). There were few accessories. The home goods section was mostly fall decor items. It now smells very musty inside the store. Definitely was not impressed with this outlet format.

The inside is nice but the carpet needs cleaned. They have way too many clothes and shoes now.
It looks really nice from the outside.
The Belk in Greeneville was not run down. I am not sure where you got that.
I honestly think this one location might do well it really makes sense to just flip an old run down local Belk into an outlet unit but I don't see the whole chain maybe a handful he and there
looks like a knock off dullards (see what I did there) shoe dept. https://www.google.com/maps/place/Belk/@36.1739318,-82.7955403,3a,75y,90t/data=!3m8!1e2!3m6!1sAF1QipMS9dwERsBRbZBJVqKmL5LGp9_3CtVyTrGsYBXD!2e10!3e12!6shttps:%2F%2Flh5.googleusercontent.com%2Fp%2FAF1QipMS9dwERsBRbZBJVqKmL5LGp9_3CtVyTrGsYBXD%3Dw211-h100-k-no!7i3811!8i1806!4m5!3m4!1s0x0:0x303da3a96075e267!8m2!3d36.174045!4d-82.795199
I forgot to mention that there is a large sign when you walk in that says all sells are final.
I am not sure if everyone remained. I did see three workers on the floor and four on cash registers the first day of reopening.
So did they end up laying off the ship to home and cosmetics employees? Or did they just give them different roles?
Yes with loads more clothes and shoes than you would see at either of those stores.
So basically they are fashioning it like Ross or TJMaxx. Both of which are successful companies.
Less of an outlet store more of a clearance store.
this is Belk modern southern style
this is Belk family since 1888
this is Belk used new and for rent
oh ok thanks for sharing
There are signs like women’s, women’s plus sizes, men’s, kids, shoes, and home. There are no cosmetics or perfumes/cologne. They have 4 cash registers now up front (instead of the 2 they had in a different location).
I figured it would be that is there any walls up or the ross like signs/register banks on the left side of the store that I predicted in my older post
It is just above a thrift store as the prices are a bit more expensive.

so, basically it's a Goodwill Thrift Store.
