Thread regarding General Electric Co. layoffs

Thought Executives have a plan, but they don't!

Layoffs being conducted justified on simple scale of one parameter, while ignoring all leadership behaviors continiously praying all prior years. No internal voice are heaed. External Customer wishes are ignored for the short term goal betting on Inflation Act. Engineering is undergoing a new LEAN approach called Kamikaze where 15 years of continious improvement is set to stone age and expertise is going back to a start up company.

The only consistency in GE and especially Vernova, is the lack of clear business direction and strategy. E level is only worried about the bonus, and the management below only worried about moving up the stepladder. The goal is to sell of the entire P&L. No one listens to the customer and applies any strategy to make the delivery and quality better. It's chaos. Look for layoffs to continue through 2023

Ohhhh they have a plan! They always have to plan out 5-10 years ahead. 130 out the door.

Please provide the source of the Vernova is selling? Spin off is not selling. GE as a company will still be holding shares of every spun off division, which means they are not sold. Truth goes a long way to getting credibility in the world,

The only plan they have is to set up the facility’s for transitions for the companies that bought them. Cooking the books to make it look like Verona made a good deal and will profit. Really ask yourself this; if GE was making money in Power then why are they selling? If I was making money on something I wouldn’t sell it unless I was going to retire. Looks like GE is retiring power and the legacy of the 301. All good things come to an end
