More pressure is already being felt by those who are not impacted. Are you noticing that too? I am preparing for the manager to start adding more to my plate, although realistically I don't see how people can agree to be even more busy and overwhelmed than they have been so far.

Sad but very true, Leadership is probably working 7 days a week and cannot keep up with the changes.
Leadership will begin to focus on small tasks that have not been completed as that is all they have control over at this point. Did you clock in correctly will become a talking point, you meeting a deadline will be ignored.
The hourly employee will always be at fault as that is all the your Leader has control over at this time.
The more you contribute, the more that will be asked of you. Employees with responsibilities outside of work will be seen as difficult and unable to keep up.
What is unfortunate is that your Manager will take whatever positive feedback they receive and believe that they are doing the right thing.
Providing more opportunities is what they will say. They will have 1 or 2 people with like mindsets feeding them information. Your Manager will begin loosing touch with their team as a whole as they won’t have time for everyone. The 1or 2 people that become part of your Managers inner circle will convince them that they are doing the right thing.
Your Manager will be surprised when the pushback starts, it’s not their fault. Your Manager is so overwhelmed that they don’t realize that their confidants will soon have their jobs.
Do assume that your Manager will attempt to spin it as a positive as they are caught up in the moment and may not realize what the added workload will mean to your life/work balance.
Your Managers head is spinning as fast as yours and they will attempt to project their work ethic’s on to yours.
Your Managers will continue to add assignments to your day and sell it you as opportunities; they honestly don’t realize what they doing to you and believe that they are helping your career.
Yep. Expect an absurd workload, especially if you are client facing or in sales. Account manager types. I survived several internal shake ups and PE buyouts over the years at Nielsen (I'm former Nielsen) and while I was happy to have a job I basically was carrying a 3 person workload. Ex: When Nielsen bought Arbitron...all of a sudden we become both NIelsen and Arbitron reps! Overnight. Lol. Did we get pay increases? Hellz no. Did middle managers care or stick around long enough to care? Hellz now. My biggest regret at Nielsen wasn't leaving when I was in a strong position to do so. You never want your last day to be the day you're told to leave.
Push back and avoid committing to things, be positive but ambiguous. What Manager want to lose more workers? They hope we are in fear but they have more to loose now...they aint hiring replacements.
