I suffered through a "merger" before and got out about 4 months after the merger was announced (not yet finalized).
I'm glad I did, but am sad the other engineers didn't listen to my warnings and life experience. Those folks that remain are suffering.

You guys that bought into merger of equals and that Raytheon legacy leadership was going to stay while we’re sadly mistaken. Heck the Raytheon CEO was gone the first year. Der de der
Boys and girls, Greg bought Raytheon for the pension fund and it was a defense-centric business that smooth-out the cyclical commercial businesses in Collins and PW. Each of the three businesses will promote their individual brands under the UTC (UTX ticker). Mark this word.
RTX Corporation
If Greg bought Raytheon for the name, then simply take this chance to rename that new division to "Amazoo Northgroup Lockheedu". LOL
Guys, all that I can say is Back to the Future. UTX, when all of the dust settles and the new guy is in the seat. Each company has its own branding. Collins, PW, and Ray all under the UTX banner.
Hayes bought Raytheon for the name, he isn't changing it.
Imagine you are at a party in the Hamptons and a A-list celebrity asks you what you do.
GH - "I'm CEO of United Technologies"
ALC- "Do they own United Air Lines? No? United Van Lines?"
GH- "We own Pratt & Whitney"
ALC- "Ohhhhhh... What do they make? Farm Tractors?"
Allied Signal bought Honeywell for the same reason. Focus Group brand recognition and CEO's fragile egos.
I was thinking the same thing. Why call it "Raytheon Technologies" at this point?!! Makes no sense. May definitely change name and stock ticker (from RTX to ???).
