Restructure/layoffs team affected

Does anyone know if the supply chain team is significantly affected/is at risk of being affected?

I work in the sector, I have people skills, I tell the people doing the work to do it faster. If they can double their productivity we can make more money as a company!!! I have people skills!

What does the Sector do? 1000s of people with very little to show for it.

I just retired from my pension noise you’ll are aware of. Having worked on both sides the beverage side has the operators. Our Beverage GM level employees put in 60-70 hrs a week and weekends aren’t off. Frito roles can be done well at 40 hrs/WK. Two different businesses. Soda is just heavy.

Frito would get a much needed gut? Obviously you don't work on that side of the business as they cannot get any leaner over there with everyone doing 3 peoples jobs!! Pepsi on the other hand with layer upon layer of management coordinators, supervisors, market managers and sector heads could definitely use a good diet plan!!

This is PepsiCo. There’s always another layoff, “reorg”, “restructure” or “simplification” around the corner.

There has been a recent rumor regarding a restructuring plan at PepsiCo. The company is said to be moving from its current structure of four beverage divisions to a new structure of three, this will be across PBNA. This move is expected to bring significant changes to the company's operations and leadership.

One of the key changes is the speculation of appointing a single CEO, similar to former CEO Al Carey, to oversee the operations of the three divisions. It is also rumored that Ram Krishnan will take over the beverages division, while his current position will be backfilled by someone else, potentially a current beverage president.

It is not clear where Kirk will go in the new structure, but it is speculated that Steven may take over both. The identities of the presidents of the three divisions have not been confirmed. However, it is expected that the new presidents will have significant experience and expertise in their respective fields.

With the restructuring, it is expected that there will be a change in the number of Vice Presidents (VPs) across the company's Go-To-Market (GTM) operations. The exact number of VPs to be added is not known, but it is speculated that there may be a reduction in the number of Heads due to the consolidation of the divisions.

If they’re thinking like me and my union merchandiser buddies then they will mirror the Frito and Beverage org structure as one. Obviously Frito would get a much needed gut.

If you’re wondering how I got so smart I married a doctor and never went into management. I stay fit by doing jobs no one wants to do and I am home by 1pm Tuesday through Friday with Saturday through Monday off. Life is good 😊

It is important to note that this information has not been officially confirmed by PepsiCo and should be taken with caution until there is an official announcement from the company. Restructuring plans and leadership changes can have a significant impact on a company, and it is essential for stakeholders to wait for official information before drawing any conclusions.
