Thread regarding Allstate Corp. layoffs

No positive changes

I haven't seen any positive changes here for a long time. Perhaps there were some that I am not aware of, and if so, someone please remind me what those positive things are. I'm getting sick of working in a company where I'm just waiting for something bad to happen.

There aren’t any. WFH wasn’t done for cultural purposes but to save money. They have dated strategies, poor leadership, and many of the good employees left over the past few years. The customer service is atrocious.

Trashy dishonest leadership from Tommy's office on down. Horrible outdated third world technology and tech support. Poorly thought processes. Grossly outdated underwriting and pricing methods. Scamming, stealing egomaniac agents. Scrapping the bottom of the social and professional barrel for employees. Exploitation of $5 per hour foreign workers. Forcing employees to vendors against their will. Cheating employees out of severance. Cut rate health benefits. In the gutter morale where 80% of employees don't care at all. Low balling claims handling and payouts. Cheesy outdated advertising. Zero transparency. Not living into their own forced culture. Well below industry wages. Constant lies and fabrications. Nope, I see nothing positive at all. There is no redemption for this company.

WFH is a plus. We don’t have to see these fools everyday and we can cultivate an exit strategy more freely. The paycheck is steady in these uncertain times. However, the constant mind games and cut throat mentality as evidenced by the stunt they pulled in June 2020 after professing their care and concern for all during the pandemic, only to announce a mind game and layoffs to follow and big hires overseas. No, word to the wise, you can’t trust them and that’s why everyone is leaving. Costumers and employees alike. Don’t get me started on all the agents who have left and are planning to in 2023. Chi town is a bit worried. But don’t worry they have a plan and are executing it. You just aren’t being given the specifics. ….yet. All under wraps. You are on a need to know basis
