Thread regarding Nielsen layoffs

Thanks to a very strict employment policy, the first layoffs will be in 30 days.

It has just been announced that 14 employees will lose their job in a collective redundancy plan in Belgium.
Thanks to a strict employment policy, there is a 30 days mandatory time period between the announcement and the actual layoffs.
The countdown has begun for 14 unlucky employees :(
I really don't envy the ones "saved", they will be worked AF.

In the US, the warn notice does not apply due to a “loophole” for remote workers (HR’s words, not mine). In the US it should be 60 days notice. I was given 8 minutes lol after giving most of my adult life to this company. None of us can say anything publicly without risking severance. Good luck everyone.

There should be 30+ in Italy as well.

in some states the Warn Act is 90 days. I do not know if you can circumvent warning if the severance covers those 60 or 90 days. But some people only got a month.

@OP

FIRST ROUND IN THE US GOT ZERO NOTICE! We're supposed to get 60 days notice under the WARN Act

You can expect NIQ Layoffs coming probably in the first half of the year as well after they finished the GfK merger.....
